BAREFOOT REPUBLIC COMMITTEE MISSIONS & GOALS

Please note that most committees meet at a standing time and date each month.  However, the needs and commitment may vary by season.   

CAMP PROGRAMMING

Mission: Determine, monitor & strengthen the organizations programs & services

Goal #1 - Determine camp location, schedule, curriculum, theme, etc.

Goal #2 - Create bible study and accompanying drama

Goal #3 - Work in conjunction with Youth Advisory Board

Goal #4 - Create additional programs (family camps & staff reunions)

VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT

Mission: Oversee all volunteer relations

Goal #1 - Identify camp staff (counselors, instructors, support)

Goal #2 - Assist in identifying groups for volunteer work days

Goal #3 - Assist in the identification of committee members

Goal #4 - Identify volunteers for Fall Banquet

Goal #5 - Assist in identifying members of the Youth Advisory Board

Goal #6 - Assist with thank you letters & other volunteer mailings

DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGIC PLANNING

Mission: Ensure adequate financial resources for BRC

Goal #1 - Work with CEO to identify and cultivate donors (individuals, churches, corporations & foundations)

Goal #2 - Create and/or sharpen business & development plan

Goal #3 - Work with CEO to identify corporate sponsors

Goal #4 - Explore other funding avenues (events, matches, etc.)

BANQUET

Mission: Organize annual Fall Banquet

Goal #1 - Identify venue, theme, décor and menu

Goal #2 - Create promotional materials (program, posters, invites)

Goal #3 - Help disseminate invitations, save-the-date cards, etc.

SILENT AUCTION

Mission: Organize and solicit items for annual silent auction

Goal #1 - Create list of potential donors and timeline for mailings

Goal #2 - Work with banquet committee to create auction literature

Goal #3 - Create goals and implement plan for soliciting items

PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT

Mission: Oversee the construction and maintenance of camp facilities

Goal #1 - Identify and detail volunteer projects

Goal #2 - Support CEO and/or GC in all aspects of ongoing construction

FINANCE

Mission: Ensure that resources are managed effectively

Goal #1 - Assist in developing annual budget

Goal #2 - Ensure organization has proper financial controls

Goal #3 - Assist CEO with quarterly and annual reports

BOARD DEVELOPMENT

Mission: Recruit and orient new board members and assess board performance

Goal #1 - Determine board needs in terms of experience & skill

Goal #2 - Ensure diversity reflective of the vision of BRC

Goal #3 - Cater to new board member involvement

Goal #4 - Conduct board & board member evaluations

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

Mission: Enhance organizations public standing

Goal #1 - Clearly articulate the mission, accomplishments and goals to the community

Goal #2 - Help enhance all presentation materials including web site, literature, displays, etc.

Goal #3 - Assist with identifying publicity and media opportunities

Goal #4 - Assist with creation & dissemination of press releases

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Mission: Ensure legal and ethical integrity & maintain accountability

Goal #1 - Create CEO job description & evaluate performance

Goal #2 - Establish grievance procedures, personnel policies & succession plans

Goal #3 - Ensure organization adheres to bylaws & articles of incorporation

Goal #4 - Support the CEO
