“I believe worship is more than a song. I believe it is living a life of undying love and gratitude that’s pleasing and acceptable to the Father. It is about us being a people willing to love one another with the same intensity that God loves us.”
David Dinwiddie has been volunteering with Barefoot for over 8 years and was at the ground breaking
of our Scottsville Camp, although he did not join our staff till April of 2012. After retiring as Director of Public Housing in Scottsville and following 30 years in the EMS field as a street paramedic, regional ambulance service director, state inspector and teaching over ten years in the EMS education field for three universities, David join Barefoot as the Director of Operation for our Scottsville campus. David has also been active in the local White Plains Church in Scottsville, where he has served as deacon, church administrator and chaired their construction of the Family Life Multipurpose Center. “I always prayed that God would find a place for me to serve Him after I retired. My prayers
were answered when I was offered a place with Barefoot. I rejoice each time a camp or retreat
comes to Barefoot and I see the Lord moving in the different groups. I am truly blessed.”
Dewayne Hibbard joined our staff in 2012 as our Facilities Director at our camp in Scottsville, KY. Coming from a background where he has had experience in many areas of trade from car repair, landscaping, electrical, carpentry, and general contracting Dewayne is able to help out with many of the different projects we have going on at camp. He does a lot of the hard work behind the scenes that prepares the campus for retreats and overnight camp.
When he began helping at Barefoot, he had no intentions of being a part of the full time staff, but after serving the camp facility last summer during our overnight camp, he knew this was something he wanted to be a part of. He loved seeing all of the cultures and races come together through Christ and knew he was called to be a part of it.
