If you have attended our banquet in the past, you know this is the season where we celebrate the transformational work the Lord has done over the past year and raise funds to propel our ministry forward for the year to come. We may be unable to safely host our big event, but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate all that God has done in 2020 and prepare for 2021, especially as we are continually reminded of the need for Barefoot's mission. We truly sense that God has prepared us and our platform for such a time as this!
Our ministry continues to grieve the loss of encouraging, uniting and building multi-cultural friendships between over 2,500 campers through our traditional camp programs. Just like all of you who have changed your life routines this year, shifting our 20th Annual Fall Banquet to a virtual event has added to our loss of seeing and reconnecting with our friends. However, we praise God for helping us to reinvent ourselves this summer as a family camp and have served over 500 campers so far! With your help, over 50% of those families have been able to rest, retreat and enjoy God's creation through the support of Barefoot's financial assistance program.
John 17: Only by experiencing the full diversity of the Body of
Christ can we together become unified and one in Him.
During this season where we are all experiencing so much uncertainly and division, we encourage you to spend a few minutes reflecting on Jesus' prayer that He gifted us in John 17. If you feel led, will you help us continue to respond to this prayer?
Even though we cannot host our largest fundraiser of the year, below you will see an image that depicts the dollar amounts of all the donations that we are trusting God to provide.
Will you consider "opening" one of the boxes below by making a gift? Please know that each gift will help reveal and propel an aspect of Barefoot's heart, mission and purpose forward. And, for every $250 that you donate, you are providing a full camp scholarship for a family in need of assistance!
