COVID PREVENTION

AT BAREFOOT, WE WANT YOU TO REST EASY KNOWING THAT YOUR CHILD WILL RECEIVE THE BEST CARE POSSIBLE AT CAMP THIS YEAR.

2021 SAFE CAMP MEASURES

Our highest priority is facilitating clean, healthy and safe camps for our children, youth and staff. Nothing is more important

to us than caring for our camper community well. All camp sessions will be conducted based on civic and health official guidelines. Safe Camp Measures are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.

Camper quarantine protocol in the days leading up to camp.

We will be relying on guidelines and quarantine requirements issued by the CDC for the days leading up to camp.

These are subject to change as camp season approaches.

Mandatory health screening and survey during camp check-in.

Every camper will answer questions regarding possible exposure as well as a temperature check each day.

Limited capacity, increased seat spacing, open airflow and masks worn during bus transportation.

Reduced camper capacity at each camp session to allow for a smaller number of individuals in our republics/cabins.

Cabins, tents and separate rooms will serve as "safe pods" with reduced safety measures (no masks, eating together, indoor activities).

Meals are served individually and can be taken anywhere on campus to enjoy.

Added safety measures when campers interact with other individuals from different republics/cabins (i.e., outdoor only activities, masks worn, physical distancing).

Hand washing and sanitizer stations throughout campus.

Registered nurse on site for immediate care at every session of camp.

Our Kentucky campus features a new HCA Health Center equipped with 2 quarantine rooms available as needed for health treatments.

All guests will check-in, check-out and be screened in the lobby of the lodge on the Kentucky campus. Entry to and exit from campus requires identity verification, office check-in and health screening.

All guests will check-in, check-out and be screened at a designated safe spot at our Day Camp venues.
