Find healing, clarity, and hope through accessible, professional, faith-based counseling and coaching—for everyone.
Barefoot Counseling & Coaching exists to walk alongside individuals and families who are navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, and deeper areas of hurt—offering a path toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
Rooted in the same mission as Barefoot Republic, we create a safe, welcoming space for people from every background to be seen, known, and supported. Through professional counseling and intentional coaching, we help people move forward with clarity, confidence, and hope.
And just like camp, we never want cost to be a barrier. Scholarships are available so that anyone who desires care has the opportunity to receive it.

Meet our Counselors
Cali Bolinger has spent the last 20 years of her career working with children and families in the Middle Tennessee area. At Barefoot, Cali served as the Day Camp Director and the Family Camp Director for 8 years before deciding to return to school for Marriage and Family Therapy. She is trained to work with children from the ages of 3-17, parents and adult women, utilizing various models of Play Therapy and EMDR Therapy. She focuses on helping children and families function better together, heal from traumatic experiences, and increase the connection and joy needed in relationships.

Cali also works with individuals looking for coping skills to manage their anxiety or depression, people needing additional support in navigating life’s challenges, and parents looking for strategies to respond to their children differently. Cali received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at MTSU and completed her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Lipscomb University. Cali is currently under the supervision of Amy Frew for licensure.

Julie Mangus, Director of Barefoot Republic Counseling Services
In response to the challenges of the COVID-19 season, Julie expanded her work by training through the Professional Christian Coaching Institute (PCCI) and becoming an accredited International Coaching Federation (ICF) coach. She went on to develop a four-month coaching program designed to help restore and strengthen Christian marriages. Her insights and work have been featured on Christian Television Network, multiple podcasts, and in outlets such as Fox News Digital, Microsoft Start, The Messenger, and Lady up America.
Before becoming a licensed therapist, Julie spent over 20 years in the entertainment and music industry as a performer, actress, professional singer, published songwriter, and vocal professor at Belmont University.
